Admired as a sly humorist and an innovative guitarist, Chuck Pyle has performed for the Colorado Legislature, on Austin City Limits and at Bill Gates’ home. He’s had his songs recorded by John Denver, Chris LeDoux, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Jerry Jeff Walker. He sees what’s best about America, writing songs about love lost and love found, forgetful cowboys, heroic highway patrolmen and brain stems gone “critical.”
His latest release is his tenth to date. Higher Ground – Songs of Colorado, delivers tunes about his beloved state, some of which are dedicated to its beauty and others to its harshness, all of which make the Colorado lifestyle so vital. Modern western vocals coupled with edgy acoustic finger-style guitar, Chuck solidifies himself on this latest effort as a true ambassador of Colorado living.
"Chuck is the whole package...melodic singing, witty lyrics and GREAT boots." – Mike Pengra, Minnesota Public Radio
Opening for Chuck is virtuoso guitarist Jeff Troxel. Since his early days of bar gigs and college classes, Troxel has developed into a prominent guitarist, composer, and songwriter. His career has seen him play with some of the world’s finest musicians including Ronnie Bedford, Warren Chiasson, Sonny Wilkenson, Bobby Shew, Frank Mantooth, Jack Reilly, James Naughton, Chris Merz, Mike Dowling, Pete Huttlinger and Bruce Escovitz.
