Billboard magazine says Michael Johnson is, “a dazzling guitarist and wonderfully expressive singer. No two shows are alike.” Born in Alamosa, Colo., he grew up in Denver and won First Place in an international folk singing concert in 1964, earning the prize of a record deal with Epic Records. Since that time, he has studied classical guitar in Barcelona with eminent guitarist Graciano Tarrago, has lived in a garage in Bel Air with Steve Martin and Gary Mule Deer, acted in New York off Broadway and toured with the company of “Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris,” and has released 14 albums, the latest including a duet with Alison Krauss, “Whenever I Call You Friend.”
A songwriter since the age of 15, North Dakota native Celeste Krenz came to Colorado in 1990 and quickly became a staple of the area’s folk music scene. Now a resident of Nashville, Celeste continues to garner praise and build her ever-growing audience. She'll be unveiling her new release, My Mother & Me (High Horse Records), at this show.
