This is our celebration of all things ukulele. The all day festival starts at 10:30 a.m. and doesn't quit until 11 p.m. The visiting artists and performers conduct workshops all day for adults, kids, and teens; covering everything from absolute beginners- who can rent or buy a uke for the workshops- all the way to professional players.
We have a handful of small batch ukulele makers who will be there to sell and show off their instruments. There are ukes ranging in price from $30 tenor ukes to $1500 resonator ukuleles. There is an instrument for everyone.
Also at the festival this year will be movie screenings from ukulele documentary makers, an open stage, jam sessions, sing-alongs, films, and workshops for non-uke players and even special workshops for kids.
The festival is sponsored by Denver's own Wynkoop Brewing Company, who will be providing hand-crafted micro-brews along with lunch and dinner catered from their own restaurant.
