Member Holiday Party - Elephant Revival w/Laura Goldhamer & The Silvernail
The annual Swallow Hill Holiday Party is back! Every year this event provides a fun opportunity to sing and dance along to some of the finest music in Colorado. The concert is the Holiday push for Swallow Hill's membership-expanding "3000 by 30" campaign, and continuing the tradition of FREE admission to the event for all its members.
THE POT LUCK The celebrations start at 3 p.m. with a pot luck in The Café for all members to share memories and experiences of the previous 30 years, and to meet and network with other members.
THE CONCERT The concert in Daniels Hall starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are required.
The concert for this year's party will feature the pioneering "Transcendental Folk" quintet Elephant Revival and their repertoire of Indie/Folk/Americana music. "Elephant Revival is living proof that the way high Colorado Front Range town of Nederland continues to inspire some of the finest and most creative music to be found anywhere. Following the lead, but not the footsteps, of groups like Leftover Salmon and the Yonder Mountain String Band, the five-piece Elephant Revival has created a unique and appealing modern acoustic sound simultaneously soaked in all manner of tradition." Opening the show is Denver's singer-songwriter Laura Goldhamer & The Silvernail. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting a girl named Laura Goldhamer, then you have also had the pleasure of walking into the sun. Goldhamer is bright. She’s eccentric. She’s motivated and focused. And at the end of the night, she probably puts on one of the most intriguing and jaw-dropping shows in town.
