The Lazarus Brothers are a songwriting project for Scott McCormick and Aaron Keim from Boulder Acoustic Society. It is an indie-folk brother duet that is equally influenced by Cormac McCarthy, The Brothers Grimm, Tom Waits and Woody Guthrie. Their songs are vignettes that tell the untold stories of the folks on the fringe of our cultural and spiritual world. The concert will be accompanied by visual art and poetry that support their American fairy tale song cycle.
Otis Gibbs has spent the last 15 years traveling across America and abroad documenting this world, and has a story to share about each stop along the way. His critically acclaimed, One Day Our Whispers (2004), delivered optimism and anti-war undertones. His latest album, Grandpa Walked a Picketline, is a glimpse inside of an America that you don’t see on the evening news and showcases his to breathe life into the characters of his songs.
